Alternative after-school art club for 10-15s

We are an open, creative and exciting club that explores a variety of visual arts and crafts through friendly weekly sessions. Our fun and informal atmosphere encourages young people to channel their own creativity, try new techniques and make a good mess.

Activities vary from spray-painting to sculpture,  puppetry to prosthetics, costume design to claymation and more...

Each half term has a loose theme inspired by either an artist, movement or medium, and students are encouraged to develop their own ideas and outcomes in a unique way. We promote experimentation, collaboration and having fun through making!

We meet every Thursday during term time from 6-7.30pm at Highgate Wood School

Current project: Pixel Project

We will be breaking images down into grids and recreating them in weird and wonderful ways!  Use any material you like, wether painting, collaging or making assemblages out of sweets and found objects!

We shall take inspiration from artists such as chuck close and space invader

5 sessions: Thursdays 25th April - 27th May 2019

Price: £70

Next Project:

Book online above (£2 booking fee applies) or pay cash or cheque to Benedict Romain on the day.

Get in touch to redeem promotions or single sessions!

What do the students need to bring?

Nothing, all art materials are provided. However due to the unique nature of the projects sometimes students may want to bring in extra items if they want them. Aprons are provided but some sessions can get messy so students may want to wear clothes they don't mind getting messy

Who is the class for?

Everyone is welcome from any school! (Boys too - despite the photos we have a couple in the group with room for plenty more!)

Where are the classes held?

We are in room w22, find us by coming through the main entrance, straight ahead and up the stairs, we are on the right half way down the long corridor at Highgate Wood School, Montenotte Road, Hornsey, London, N8 8RN

Can students come for one-off sessions?

Yes, you can pay £15 for single sessions, come give it a go!

Can we bring a friend?

Please do, the more the merrier!
